this photo shows the new house at 10050 cielo drive
in los angeles. the owner today is jeff franklin
(television producer). the old house was owned by
musician trent reznor from the nine inch nails. in the
1990s he recorded “the downward spiral” there.
reznor sold the house to franklin and took the
front door with him. franklin later demolished
the old house and build his new home showed on
the photo.
the original house was designed by robert byrd in 1944 for the french actress michelle morgan. cary grant and henry fonda also lived there. in 1969 roman polanski and sharon tate rented this house but only for six months.
